Heather Brooks Rensmith, LCSW, CST AASECT Certified Sex Therapist
I've been working on behalf of women since the age of 19 on a journey that has taken me from advocacy for survivors of domestic and sexual violence to women's health and sexuality. I once saw this sentence taped to a telephone pole "I will make my body a site of liberation, my pleasure a weapon that kills repression" and felt it spoke to my life's passion. I want to help humans discover how they can reclaim their power through pleasure, in connection with others or within themselves and to hone the skills needed to create one's best life and relationship. I am an AASECT (American Academy of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists) certified sex therapist and have a private practice in the Ford Building working with individuals and couples in a variety of relationship structures.
The neurobiology of yoga and meditation and how it can improve anxiety, depression, PTSD, eating disorders, insomnia, trauma, and addiction
At the age of 19, Sarasvati took her first yoga class and then began studying with Ki McGraw and Bob Smith in Seattle, Washington at the Hatha Yoga Center and at their school in Bali Indonesia. In 2003 she received her 200 Hr. Training. Her teaching style has been greatly affected by Seane Corn, Travis Elliot and Sweethome Teacup. Sarasvati has been teaching yoga for 13 years now throughout Alaska, Hawaii and Oregon. She has taught 4 year-olds through 94 year-olds. Sarasvati used to co-own a busy yoga studio in Portland Oregon shifted her focus to how Yoga and Neuroscience go hand in hand.
After watching Neuroendocrinologist Dr Robert Sapolsky's documentary on stress she was inspired to begin studying neuroendocrinology through Sapolsky's recorded lectures from Stanford. In June of 2014, Sarasvati studied Neuroscience, Mindfulness, and Modern Yoga for Transforming Trauma at Kripalu with Jim Hopper and Dana Moore. Sarasvati currently studies Interpersonal Neurobiology at Portland State University.
Her life experiences in parenting, story, anatomy, depression, bi-polar, extreme illness in pregnancy, and injury have led her to this intersection of Yoga and Neuroscience. Sarasvati has acquired great tools for transformation and joyfully shares them with the world in her teachings and workshops.

The medicine in my grandmother's Chai: A map to building our hearts into homes and restoring reciprocity in our bodies and world
I am Kirin Bhatti - bridging the magical and mundane for women. I am privileged to have my creature self birthed in a beautiful brown body born of hearty earthy Punjabi roots. I've been gifted an ancient heart deep as the ocean. I am a water warrior. Tears are my warpaint. Love my greatest weapon My work does not speak the language of fast and quick. Slow down, go deep or you’ll miss me. I speak and live the language of water at low tide, flowing, cleansing, still, deep, revealing. My tools are faith, intuition, and play. My work is about creating individual revolution for collective liberation by remembering how to move at the speed of love so that we may say yes to our truest self in each and every moment.
Being a woman entrepreneur in a male-dominated society
Disappointed by the lackluster designs and staggering waste generated by the traditional wedding industry, Lane’ started her flagship business, Something Borrowed Portland, in 2011 to address the need for unique wedding decor that didn’t hit the landfill right after the ceremony. Now Something Borrowed offers an enormous inventory of furniture, decor and stylistic paraphernalia to offbeat and modern brides in the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
Lane’ brings a profound leadership history to her entrepreneurial and coaching work, with experience as diverse as developing World Trade Center satellite offices in Russia, managing global import/export for a cargo airline and more than eight years working with and for Intel to develop corporate training materials and instructional design. Her time at Intel was part of the inspiration for her newest venture: Wedding Pro Coaching.
Lane’ debuted Wedding Pro Coaching in 2017. She offers mastermind business coaching and educational programs to independent creatives looking to navigate - and succeed - in the crowded wedding industry. Informed by not only her own history of entrepreneurial success, but also by the experience gained in more than two decades of diverse corporate sector work, Lane’ brings a deep toolbox of business, leadership and personal success strategies to her coaching clients.
When Lane’ isn’t coaching wedding pros or coordinating beautiful events, you’ll find herroadtripping to New York City, collecting shoes or writing her memoirs about growing up in a 200-person Inupiat village in Alaska (seriously.)
